This district-level administrator will provide vision, leadership, and support for mathematics and science instruction across all grade levels. Reporting directly to the Assistant Superintendent, the Director will work collaboratively with district leaders, principals, instructional coaches, and teachers to strengthen curriculum alignment, instructional quality, and student achievement in math and science.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of districtwide math and science instruction.Ensure alignment of math and science curriculum with Mississippi College- and Career-Readiness Standards and assessment requirements.Lead curriculum reviews, adoptions, and implementation efforts for math and science instructional materials.Develop, deliver, and evaluate high-quality professional learning for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators.Support the effective use of data to inform instructional decision-making and continuous improvement.Collaborate with school administrators to monitor classroom instruction and provide targeted coaching and feedback.Coordinate intervention and enrichment strategies to address diverse student learning needs.Stay current on research-based instructional practices in mathematics and science education.Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent.Required QualificationsValid 486 Mississippi Educator License.Master's degree or higher in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience in K 12 education, including teaching experience in math and/or science.Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices in mathematics and science.Experience with curriculum development, professional learning, and instructional coaching.Preferred QualificationsAdministrative or district-level leadership experience.Experience leading instructional improvement initiatives across multiple schools.Strong background in data analysis, program evaluation, and strategic planning.Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong leadership and interpersonal skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Deep understanding of math and science pedagogy and standards-based instruction.Ability to analyze student achievement data and guide instructional improvement.Commitment to equity, continuous improvement, and student success.Contract and Salary230 Days per yearSalary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and consistent with district administrative salary schedules
