CommonBond Communities invites qualified applicants to apply for the IT Deskside Support position. This position sits at our Central Office in Saint Paul, Minnesota and provides on-site user support in conjunction with the contracted HelpDesk support.
The salary range for this position is: $55,000-$65,000
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Internal point of escalation for service desk
Act as Deskside Support point of contact with vendors
Trouble shooting with users over the phone and in person.
Providing technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity (i.e. printers, desktops, laptops, monitors, internal and internet applications, computer operating systems, and network connections)
Windows/Android/iOS Mobile device configuration
All on-site “hands and feet” activities. (User moves and adds, conference room and digital signage support)
Responsible for End User related change control activity
Provide backup support to the third-party IT support team for Azure AD, M365 and MS Intune environments
Troubleshooting and analyzing computer issues of moderate to difficult scope.
Assisting with daily routine’s such as backup tapes and monitoring error logs.
Providing Basic Network support (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
Setup and configure laptop and desktop computers (Software installs, patches, etc.)
Request email logins from corporate IT during onboarding in coordination with HR
Perform systems administration functions for Windows 365 infrastructure, Exchange, software updates, anti-virus, backups and CRM systems
Avaya phone system administration - Setup/deploy phones to on-site personnel (Avaya IP Office 500)
Other duties as required
Special projects help as needed
Formulates teaching outline, determines instructional methods, and conducts training sessions. Instructional methods may include individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and brown bag sessions.
Provide primary application and procedural for new employees.
Provide follow-up and ongoing application and procedural training for employees.
Communicate procedural changes to staff due to system upgrades.
Writes and develops training materials such as handbooks, instructional material, demonstration models, multimedia Visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.
Document IT-related information due to application changes and procedures.
Communicate the status of issues and repair them in a timely manner.
Communicate any downtime to appropriate people as soon as possible.
Update the Associate Vice President of IT and IT Staff on the status of ongoing issues.
Communicate software and procedural changes to staff.
Suggest improvements in department-specific work procedures.
Interacts with Regional Managers regarding the developmental training of specific employees.
Other Duties as Assigned
Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with all organizational departments to optimize working partnership and communication
Maintain a high level of communication with the Associate Vice President of IT, ETO and Teams Administrator and Yardi Administrator and CommonBond staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1-3 years technical work experience in an IT Systems
1 year of experience with Windows 10/Windows 11, Outlook, Microsoft Office applications, and Microsoft Edge
Ability to communicate effectively written and orally
Ability to type data into a computer
Experience supporting M365 /MS Office and a variety of WiFi-enabled devices
Support production environment supporting Windows 10/11
Basic skills/knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and related network services (i.e. DNS, SMTP, DHCP, etc)
Basic skills/knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration
Subject Matter Expert with System Center Configuration Manager
Scripting, Packaging and Deployment knowledge for applications and operating system changes
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent required, BA/BS degree preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform work in-person, on-site, 5 days/week in St Paul, MN at Central Office
Quiet to moderate noise level
Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to use hands to grasp, twist and pull
Access to reliable transportation
