Laborer - Gas

Summary of Position:A Laborer should possess at least a fundamental understanding of construction and be familiar with working with tools and their hands. Experience in the gas construction industry is preferred.Duties and Responsibilities:Hand dig and back fill trenchesAssist in installing gas linesTrained to operate tampers, jackhammers, drills, and sawsDrive pick-up and one-ton vehicles to and from job siteCarry and load materials to be used on the jobFollow all company safety policies and practicesWash and clean vehicles and equipmentLight repair and maintenance of tools and equipmentSafety training as required by positionPaperwork filing and maintenance as neededOther duties as assignedEssential Education and Qualifications:Gas construction experienceJoin and maintain union membershipGood verbal communication skillsMust have valid driver's licenseValid DOT Health CardSuccessful completion of OQ trainingPreferred Skills:Class A Driver's License (CDL)OSHA 10SWPPP certificatePhysical Demands:Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the jobMust be able to work in all weather conditionsMust be able to lift up to 75 poundsPay Scale- Union Scale rate: $30.69/hr
