Job Title: CFO- Architecture Location: Atlanta, GA Pay: Base Salary + 25% bonus Our client, a leader in the architectural solutions industry, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the organization’s financial strategy while supporting continued growth across its commercial solutions business. This role oversees the company’s financial operations, including the development of financial plans and policies, management of accounting practices, and preparation of detailed financial analyses of operations. The CFO is responsible for producing interim and year-end financial statements with supporting schedules to provide leadership with clear insights for strategic decision-making. The CFO also manages relationships with lending institutions and the broader financial community while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial reports. In collaboration with internal teams and industry partners—including general contractors, designers, and end users—the CFO supports the successful delivery of projects by aligning financial oversight with operational execution, from initial scope and vendor coordination through final delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead all areas of financial management, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audits, and internal controls. Ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly financial close processes while maintaining compliance with GAAP reporting standards. Present financial results, key performance indicators, and risk assessments to executive leadership and company ownership. Develop and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets, with particular focus on inventory, work-in-progress, and project-based billing. Prepare and provide financial reports and supporting documentation for lenders, external accounting firms, and regulatory agencies at the federal, state, and local levels. Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and collaborate with external accountants on tax planning and annual benchmarking reviews. Deliver financial performance updates to leadership during quarterly company meetings. Manage and optimize cash flow across seasonal fluctuations and project-driven revenue cycles. Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit policies, and inventory management processes. Assess financing requirements, manage banking relationships, and oversee credit facilities, including lines of credit and covenant compliance. Lead the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, and forecasting aligned with market conditions and project pipeline variability. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop financially sound strategies for proposals, bids, and dealer programs. Manage external audits—including financial, sales and use tax, and property audits—ensuring timely compliance with all audit requirements. Direct the analysis and interpretation of financial and operational data to evaluate profitability, performance against budget, and overall financial health. Provide oversight for the Human Resources function to ensure efficient and accurate administrative support, while also partnering with leadership on key IT-related decisions. Evaluate creditworthiness of new customers using Dun & Bradstreet reports and make informed credit approval decisions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required. Proven experience serving in a senior leadership role within a small to mid-sized organization. Demonstrated strong work ethic with the flexibility to work beyond standard business hours when necessary. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with the President and members of the executive leadership team. Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities. Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team and leading by example. Strong knowledge of the financial operations and management of a small to mid-sized business environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational focus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Professional certifications such as CPA and/or a master’s degree are preferred. Experience with CORE business systems is a plus. #AF123
