Estimator Commercial Interiors Location: Boston, Massachusetts Company: Drywall and DFH Contractor Sector: Commercial Construction / Drywall / Interiors Overview A well-established commercial interiors subcontractor is seeking an Estimator to join its Boston team. The business delivers large-scale drywall, framing, and acoustical ceiling packages across commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects. This role will play a key part in preconstruction and bid development, working closely with operations to secure new work. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall, framing, and interiors packages Review plans, specifications, and bid documentsPerform quantity take-offs and material pricing Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotesDevelop and submit competitive bid proposalsWork closely with project managers and leadership on bid strategyAttend pre-bid meetings and liaise with clients and GCs Maintain accurate records of estimates and historical cost data Requirements 2+ years experience in construction estimatingExperience working on commercial construction projectsStrong understanding of: Take-offs Pricing and cost analysis Construction drawings and specifications Strong numerical and analytical skills Proficient in Excel and estimating software Highly Desirable Experience estimating drywall, metal framing, and acoustical ceilingsBackground with a subcontractor or interiors contractorFamiliarity with tools such as: On-Screen Takeoff (OST)QuickBidBluebeam RevuKnowledge of Boston / New England construction market Benefits Competitive salary + bonus 401(k) with company match Healthcare, dental & vision ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) PTO + holidays Clear progression into Senior Estimator / Preconstruction roles
