Lead Service Technician / Service Operations ManagerManitowoc, WIPosition Summary:ATSNUC, Inc. an AccreditedLabs company is seeking a Lead Service Technician / Service Operations Manager to oversee and execute the full scope of our calibration and service operations. This role goes beyond standard calibration workthis individual will serve as the technical leader of the operation, responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, process oversight, compliance, and team performance.This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical capability. The ideal candidate is not just a calibrator, but a problem-solver, system builder, and operational leader who can manage people, equipment, and processes while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and accountability.Extreme attention to detail is critical. This role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that every piece of equipment, every data point, and every customer interaction meets ATSNUC's standards.Key Responsibilities:Technical Leadership & Advanced TroubleshootingServe as the highest-level technical resource for calibration, repair, and diagnosticsTroubleshoot complex issues involving electronics, radiation-based equipment, and mechanical systemsPerform and oversee calibrations, leak tests, repairs, and rebuildsTrain and mentor techniciansOperations & Workflow ManagementManage daily service queue and ensure turnaround time targets are metOversee workflows from intake to deliverySupervise technicians and support staffEnsure accurate tracking and documentation of all equipmentRadiation Safety & ComplianceServe as or support the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and ISO/IEC 17025Maintain audit readiness and documentationCustomer CommunicationAct as primary technical contact for customers.Provide estimates, updates, and troubleshooting support.Maintain professionalism and responsiveness.Quality Control & Final ReviewReview calibration data, reports, certificates, and billing.Ensure accuracy before equipment is returned.Maintain standards for cleanliness and documentation.Inventory & LogisticsManage inventory and reordering.Oversee shipping and receiving.Ensure traceability and optimize inventory levels.Process Improvement & Business SupportIdentify inefficiencies and implement improvements.Support new services and operational growth.Build scalable systems.Required Qualifications:5+ Experience in technical service, calibration, or repair environmentsStrong troubleshooting ability (electronics and mechanical)Leadership experience preferredHigh attention to detailStrong communication skillsAbility to manage multiple prioritiesExperience with Excel, inventory systems, and service toolsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with nuclear density gauges or similar equipmentExperience with low-voltage electronicsSO/IEC 17025 experiencePrior leadership or management roleAbility to train and build processesKey Position Expectation:This is not a standard calibration technician role.
