Calibration Technician - Lab (ATSNUC)
ATSNUC, Inc., an Accredited Labs company, is seeking a Lab Technician to join our team at our Manitowoc, WI facility. This is a non-travel, lab-based position focused on the calibration, testing, and maintenance of nuclear measurement instruments, including density gauges and radiation detection equipment.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work in a controlled lab environment and takes pride in precision, quality, and following established standards.What You'll Do – Laboratory CalibrationPerform in-lab calibration of nuclear density gauges and Geiger countersInspect, test, and verify instrument accuracy in accordance with applicable standardsConduct minor troubleshooting and repairs on calibration equipmentDocument calibration results clearly and accurately in alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 and internal quality requirementsMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspaceSupport incoming and outgoing equipment processing, including intake inspection and shipment preparationEquipment You'll Work WithNuclear density gaugesGeiger counters and radiation detection devicesSupporting calibration standards and instrumentationGeneral lab measurement and testing equipmentQuality & ComplianceFollow all radiation safety protocols and company proceduresEnsure calibration processes meet regulatory and quality standardsMaintain accurate records for audits and customer reportingSupport continuous improvement of lab processes and workflowsTeam & CollaborationWork closely with internal lab staff, quality teams, and leadershipCommunicate findings, discrepancies, and repair needs clearlyContribute to a collaborative, safety-focused lab environmentContinuous Improvement & GrowthIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround timesProvide feedback to enhance lab processes and customer experienceOpportunity to grow into more advanced technical or quality-focused roles as the business expandsQualificationsMinimum 1 year of experience in a technical, mechanical, or laboratory environmentExperience with calibration, testing, or instrumentation preferredFamiliarity with radiation detection equipment or nuclear gauges is a plus (training provided if needed)Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 or other quality systems preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office for documentationAbility to follow detailed procedures and work independently in a lab settingWhy Join ATSNUC?Stable, non-travel, lab-based role with consistent scheduleOpportunity to work with specialized, high-demand instrumentationGrowth potential within a rapidly expanding calibration organizationSupportive, team-oriented environment focused on quality and safetyAbout Us:Accredited Labs is a trusted provider of accredited calibration services.
