This unique position offers the chance to make a significant impact while honing your clinical skills and enjoying a predictable schedule with weekend call: Critical Care Focus: Provide life-saving interventions and manage a variety of complex medical conditions for adult patients within a 20-bed intensive care unit (ICU). Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a team of skilled healthcare professionals, including intensivists, nurse practitioners, and nurses, to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Weekend Call: Provide essential call coverage approximately every fourth day, with one extended call shift covering a weekend (Friday-Monday AM) per month. Weekend coverage includes in-person presence at the facility. Streamlined Workflow: Utilize the familiar Cerner electronic medical record system for documentation and patient management. Supportive Environment: Enjoy a collaborative practice with two other critical care physicians, with the opportunity to join the team permanently in 2025. We Value Your Expertise: We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Critical Care Physician who possesses a valid medical license in the state of Iowa. Current certification in ACLS is mandatory. Experience with advanced procedures, such as ION and bronchoscopy, is highly valued. Temporary privileges are not available for this opportunity.
