As part of Westgate Resorts, recognized by U.S. News as one of the Best Companies to Work For, you’ll be joining a team committed to excellence and creating unforgettable vacation experiences and supporting your career growth where you are or at 60+ resorts across the company.Job DescriptionAs a Resort Experience Supervisor, you will be responsible for communicating and working with Westgate vendors such as Resort Recreation and Tourism Management (RR & TM), Excursions, Scuba, Tennis, Caricature Artists, etc. In order to facilitate products and services for the Activities department.As a Resort Experience Supervisor, you will:Coordinate activity and special event programs using themed conceptsAssist in set-up and breakdown for special eventsManages subordinate team members in the Activities/Kids Club departmentAssist with trainingResponsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problemsOrganize and update department filesPlan parties for owners, guests, and team membersFormulate an environment, which will increase team members’ morale and motivation, and promote team spiritTake charge of the department in absence of the managerOrder, inventory, and distribute logo merchandise and sports equipmentPrepare daily and monthly records and procedures for logo merchandise, marketing materials and other purchases in accordance with CFI and Westgate Resorts accountingCollect daily written reports about the Fitness Center and Game RoomOrganize vendor reports and collect monthly paymentsWrite up subordinate team member performance evaluations; ability to enforce disciplinary proceduresAttend manager meetings and participate in team member orientation toursPower and responsibility to cancel various activities when weather or other conditions pose a safety hazard to participantsCooperate with recreation and non-recreation personnelAct as team leader for Resort Experience Department regarding resort service standardsContact person for entertainment regarding special eventsStock special event supplies on a weekly basisPerforms weekly inspections of recreational sitesReplacement of nets, repairing and repainting equipment as neededContact person for contractors regarding repairs and replacement of recreational courts, playground, dock, fitness center, etcAbility to design, create and upkeep decorationsTo excel in this role, you must embody our core values of integrity, passion, and a strong work ethic.
