In this role you will be expected to drive adoption of corporate safety initiatives, ensure compliance and record keeping, and manage branch interdepartmental training initiatives. The specialist will lead the coordination and execution of safety training meetings as well as maintain the appropriate records for each department.Our Minimum QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent experiencePrevious experience leading / coaching othersWorking knowledge of MS Office Suite and/or software applicationsAbility to travel up to 30% of the timeValid state motor vehicles licenseAbility to obtain / maintain auto liability insurance in accordance with state lawsKnowledge of OSHA DOT regulationsOur Preferred QualificationsPresentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of managementInterpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas and government agencies as requiredDemonstrated high level proficiency of oral and written communication skillsPlanning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignmentsOSHA 10 130 certificationClass A, Class B Driver's License highly valuedYour ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update documentation that support the business while maintaining accurate recordsSupport local Safety Committee projectsEnsure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and all other regulatory agenciesManage and measure work, process, and metrics for branch safetyConduct daily facility inspectionsEnsure required equipment maintenance logs, inspections, and supporting documentation are maintainedExtensive time spent training and actively engaging in branch processes to ensure safety best practices are deployedEnsure and manage maintenance of equipment, machinery, and all company assetsManage all safety files including OSHA logs, training documentation, proof of inspections, certificationsLead branch accident investigations and collect required documentation, evidence, etc.Report general liability claim information to insurance carriers via approved incident reportsChair branch safety committee and lead all committee meetingsPerform other job-related duties as assignedPhysical RequirementsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machinePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling cases of beer or kegs, up to l50lbsAs the Distributor of Choice, we embrace a culture where diversity drives innovative solutions for the success of our employees, retailers, and supplier partners.
