Site Safety Manager

RESPONSABLE SAFETY STAFFING-Site Safety RepresentativePecos, TX & Wynnewood, OK Starts 7/6 and 6/29Primary Duties and Responsibilities• Drive the safety culture through maintaining strong relationships with all levels of management and supervision.• Conduct safety audits and inspections of personnel, equipment and materials, visiting job sites and offices.• Conduct safety audits and inspections of facilities, personnel, equipment and materials, visiting job sites and offices.• Monitor employee compliance with safety laws and policies.• Conduct general and project specific health & safety training for staff.• Develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) plans; Conduct hazard evaluations and project safety reviews based on job scope and tasks.• Lead the preparation and maintenance of safety documentation and compliance records.• Develop or update health & safety plans that are general or project specific.• Monitor employee compliance with safety laws and policies.• Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.• Evaluates PPE and ensures proper use and maintenance of PPE.• Ensures there is appropriate health and safety equipment for project staff; Apply Federal, State and local client regulation and requirements to project planning and execution.• Monitor employee compliance with safety laws and policies.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions to safety issues.• Ensure Contractor construction activities are in compliance with OSHA requirements and the established• Site-Specific Safety Plan.• Coordinate with Site Construction Team to monitor, track and report Project Safety Statistics.• Lead Safety meetings with all Project Staff. Also, lead Safety Discussions, Issues and Concerns as part construction coordination meetings with all Contractor representatives.• Investigate and Report all safety incidents for record and communication with Project Team and management.• Support the development and implementation of safety response plans.• Monitor employee conformity to safety laws and policies.• Suggest solutions, improvements, and prevention steps for safety issues.Required Skills and Abilities• Ability licensed to operate light vehicles and be insured under vehicle insurance through satisfactory MVR.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.• Ability to travel locally, domestically, and internationally.• Deep and diversified knowledge of health, safety & environmental practices.• Direct experience with construction, open shop, and union office and field environments.• Ability to mentor, train, influence and motivate team members.• Familiarity with ISNetworld, Avetta, PSC, and similar on-line compliance systems.• Familiarity with OSHA 300 logs.• Knowledge of Federal, State and local regulation and requirementsThorough knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines.Extensive attention to detail.Ability to provide detailed reports and develop safety procedures.Good understanding of data analysis and risk assessment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to recognize with safety conditions need improvement.Ability to prioritize tasks especially when handling an accident or incident.Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and other management software.Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations and safety standardsCompensation$4000/mo per diem, $500 for mob & demob, $47 per hourEducation and Experience• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, Associates degree preferred in Environmental Safety or related field from an accredited program (Some education may be replaced by experience).• At least ten (10) years of experience working in an Construction Safety environment.• Commissioning Phase of new chemical plant• A minimum of OSHA 30 Certification.• CSST, CSSS, CHST is best.• MSHA cert preferred.
