The team is building a high-performance YouTube content operation where packaging, positioning, and visual strategy play a major role in channel growth. This role is focused on improving YouTube performance through stronger thumbnails, metadata, and channel-level optimization.Position OverviewThe YouTube Growth & Thumbnail Specialist will own YouTube growth strategy through thumbnail design, title strategy, metadata optimization, CTR improvement, and channel performance analysis. This role is centered on understanding how YouTube rewards content and using that knowledge to improve click-through rate, watch-time signals, and overall channel growth. The ideal candidate has strong thumbnail instincts, deep YouTube platform knowledge, and the ability to make strategic decisions based on analytics rather than guesswork.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn YouTube metadata strategy, including titles, descriptions, and channel packaging decisionsDesign high-performing YouTube thumbnails aligned with each video’s topic, style, and audience expectationsDevelop and optimize video titles, descriptions, tags, and metadataImprove click-through performance through thumbnail psychology, title testing, and CTR-focused decision-makingAnalyze YouTube performance data and iterate based on watch-time, CTR, retention, and recommendation signalsConduct A/B testing for thumbnails, titles, and related packaging elements to improve results over timeDevelop and maintain consistent thumbnail style systems aligned with brand identitySupport channel growth by identifying performance patterns, optimization opportunities, and content packaging improvementsStay current on YouTube algorithm changes, platform behavior, and emerging best practicesHelp create or support simple brand-aligned graphic assets such as banners or related channel visuals when neededManage and publish content across YouTube and short-form platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Shorts)Manage YouTube-related publishing and presentation strategy with strong attention to visual quality and performanceQualificationsRequired QualificationsProven experience managing or growing YouTube channelsStrong thumbnail design skills with a portfolio or body of work that demonstrates strong visual judgmentExperience analyzing YouTube data and making performance decisions based on analyticsExperience with A/B testing and iterative optimizationPrior experience with YouTube growth strategy, including titles, thumbnails, descriptions, CTR optimization, and analyticsStrong understanding of how social and content platforms reward engagement and viewer behaviorStrong visual design skills (composition, contrast, emotion, branding)Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Figma, or similar design softwareFluent in English (C1/C2 level)Preferred QualificationsExperience growing YouTube channels in news, education, political commentary, or similar analytical content categoriesFamiliarity with YouTube analytics tools and A/B testing workflowsStrong understanding of emerging platform trends and audience behavior patternsWork Environment & CompensationSchedule: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)Location: Remote (LATAM Applicants only)Compensation: $1,300 USD/monthWe look forward to reviewing your application.
