TitleVP, Strategic FinanceJob DescriptionNOW HIRING: Vice President of Strategic FinanceCompensation: $175,000-$200,000 per yearOpen to Hybrid in our Regional Offices & Remote CandidatesJob OverviewThe Vice President of Strategic Finance is a senior finance leader responsible for driving enterprise profitability, growth strategy, and financial performance across SBM. This role integrates traditional finance leadership with commercial strategy, pricing, and market expansion. The VP will partner closely with the CFO and executive leadership team to:Optimize margin and cash flow across the portfolioDrive new business growth and expansion into target verticalsDevelop cross-selling strategies to optimize growth across all major contractsIdentify and resolve under performing operations and accountsThis role requires a highly analytical, externally oriented leader capable of influencing both operational execution and corporate strategy.Roles & ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Enterprise Financial LeadershipProvide executive oversight of financial performance, reporting, and analytics across the organizationMaintain deep understanding of financial statements, cost structures, and operating driversDrive continuous improvement in cost savings and budget performance Profitability & Performance OptimizationOwn enterprise margin strategy across fixed fee, T&M, and performance-based contractsIdentify, analyze, and remediate underperforming contracts and business unitsPartner with operations to improve labor efficiency, cost structure, and profitabilityDesign and implement financial models to incentivize organic growth and margin expansionDevelop performance-based bonus and incentive frameworks aligned to EBITDA growth Strategic Finance & PricingEvaluate contract economics, pricing models, and NPV returnsBenchmark competitor pricing and industry margins to reposition offeringsSupport major bids, RFPs, and client negotiations with financial insights Business Development & Market Expansion (~40–50%)Drive net-new revenue growth across priority verticals and sales channelsDevelop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned to high-growth segmentsIdentify cross-sell opportunities across services and existing clientsConduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities Executive Partnership & LeadershipAct as a strategic thought partner to the CFO and senior leadership teamPresent insights, recommendations, and performance updates to executive leadership and stakeholdersLead cross-functional alignment across Finance, Operations, and SalesDrive accountability for financial and operational performance across divisionsQualificationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.Education And/or ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field (required)MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferredCPA, CFA, or similar credential a plus5+ years in strategic finance, corporate finance, or consultingExperience in facilities management, IFM, or service-based industries strongly preferredProven success driving revenue growth and margin expansionDeep experience with pricing strategy, contract structures, and deal economicsStrong background in financial modeling and analyticsKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesHigh-impact, externally oriented finance leader with strong commercial instinctsExecutive presence with the ability to influence C-suite decision-Data-driven with strong problem-solving capabilityComfortable operating across strategy, finance, and operationsWillingness to travel and engage directly with clients and field operationsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesCarries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
