Residential Aide
Project Chesapeake provides quality addiction treatment, behavioral health therapy & treatment for individuals with a dual diagnosis. We are seeking a highly motivated, reliable, & professional, full-time Residential Aide to join our team in a male Level 3.1 location! Our mission is to provide an opportunity for individuals to learn how to live a positive, sober lifestyle while empowering them to make changes that will lead to successful, independent living. Hours:Full-timeMonday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift) Tuesday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift) Wednesday - OFFThursday - 11:00pm - 8:00am - (overnight shift) Friday - OFFSaturday - 7:00am - 3:00pm Sunday - 7:00am - 3:00pm Responsibilities include:Is responsible for monitoring all clients throughout their assigned shift. Ability to conduct regular "rounds" around the entire property. Ensures the daily program / schedule is being followed. Assist with new intakes, complete room searches, monitor mealtimes, etc. Observes & documents all clients taking and / or refusing prescribed or over the counter medications. Monitor & observe supervised urinalysis as needed / scheduled. Communicates in a professional manner with all clients, staff & supervisors. Keeps all program staff members informed of all client's current challenges or behavioral issues. Provides accurate information during shift changes via written & verbal communication in a professional manner. Attends team meetings as necessary / scheduled. Can quickly adapt to changes in schedules, routines & work assignments. Ability to deescalate. Ability to maintain ethical & professional boundaries with all clients & staff. Understands & abides by HIPAA guidelines / requirements at all times. Qualifications include:Ability to observe, identify, document & inform others if physical, cognitive & behavioral changes are a concern. Understands the field of addiction, mental health & recovery. Prior experience in a Behavioral Health setting is a plus.
