Title: Sr. SQL Server Database AdministratorLocation: Atlanta, GADuration: 4+ MonthsJob Description:Support application teams and their projects to enhance, troubleshoot and performance tuneSupport SQL Server databases in Production, Test and Development environments and within Microsoft SharePoint farm - Install, upgrade, configure ALWAYS ON, test and deploy complex database softwareDevelop and implement database recovery plans and proceduresAnalyze the performance of databases and recommends tuning and application changesImplement user authentication and validate databases security protocols across systemsReviews system design and develop new database systems as neededModifying database structure or deploying schema changes as a result of new requirementsScripting batch data loads and operational job automationWorking Knowledge of Cohesity Backup Appliance.Working Knowledge of Cloud Technology and governance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university AND Seven years of experience in support of an operating system, database management system or a related fieldSkills:Hands on administrative experience with SQL Server RDBMSHands on experience in managing backup, recovery and high availability scenariosHands on development and tuning of databases in SQL Server with Performance Tuning.Hands on experience in Microsoft Operating Systems and SQL Server clustered environments required. and Optimization and TSQL programmingHands on query experience with SQL and scripting skillsStrong knowledge and experience on Always ON High Availability groupsRequired 4 Years Strong Knowledge and Experience on MigrationsRequired 4 Years SQL Server database space management/storage design and capacity planning according to best practicesDemonstrate ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and managementDemonstrate ability to generate entity relationship diagrams, create database documentation, data dictionaries and document system architecture.
