The Accounts Payable Specialist is an in-office role that performs a variety of accounts payable work in the preparation and maintenance of financial and accounting records.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a point of communication between vendors and internal team membersEnsure that vendors invoices are received, approved by necessary parties, and any discrepancies are identified and resolvedMonitor AP email and processing invoices received on a daily basisInvestigate and resolve all discrepancies associated with the processing of invoicesProcessing check requests and joint check agreements when requiredProcess checks and ACH payments using TimberLine Sage 300 & GC Pay softwareMonitoring subcontractors for insurance, W-9, & tax compliance with company requirementsEnsure transactions comply with financial policies and proceduresMaintain compliance with construction accountingOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting, or comparable professional experienceMicrosoft Excel knowledge, comfortable with other MS Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills are required to successfully build relationships with internal and external partnersAbility to problem-solve and work independently to identify potential discrepanciesAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time well on tight deadlinesHigh level of professionalism, responsiveness, and confidentialityTeam-player and ability to build relationships well across the organization and teamExperience with GCPay, and Timberline/Sage is a plusSchimenti provides a variety of comprehensive benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, enrollment in our ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan), a retirement savings plan, and paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
