About the Opportunity:The Collections Specialist role involves remote work to support loan holders by managing delinquent accounts and facilitating repayment arrangements. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the organization’s financial health by engaging customers with empathy and problem-solving skills to resolve payment issues. This role requires handling a high volume of calls and communications, contributing directly to loss mitigation and customer service quality.3. Responsibilities:• Manage outbound and inbound calls to customers 30 to 120+ days delinquent• Establish repayment arrangements and answer loan-related questions• Locate delinquent customers using skip tracing and other tools• Prepare and send customer correspondence via email and text• Apply critical thinking to resolve customer issues and recommend loan modifications• Document clear and concise account notes• Work independently to meet collection quality and quantity goals• Collaborate with team members and promote positive engagement with staff, customers, and dealers• Uphold the organization’s core principles• Perform other assigned duties as needed4. Requirements:• Availability between 8am and 8pm CST, including two late nights and up to two Saturdays per month• Excellent phone etiquette and typing skills• Patience and ability to remain calm in difficult situations• Detail-oriented with quick learning ability• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent• At least 2 years of collections experience, including phone-based customer assistance• Call center experience is a plus• Ability to multitask by talking to customers while entering data• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook; experience with CRM software preferred but not required• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare customer correspondence and reports• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percent calculations• Reasoning ability to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables• Physical ability to sit, talk, hear, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds• Comfortable working in a moderate noise office environment5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary range $19.50 to $25.00 per hour based on experience6.
