Controller

Our client, a mid to large-size service-based company located on the northwest side of Houston, is seeking a highly visible Corporate Controller to join their leadership team. This position will oversee accounting operations for multiple locations throughout the Southern region and play a key role in supporting the continued growth and scalability of the organization.The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience within shared services environments and a strong background working in complex, multi-entity and multi-site organizations. Candidates coming from mid to large-size companies are strongly preferred. Advanced degrees and/or professional certifications such as a CPA, CMA, or MBA are highly desired.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all corporate accounting and financial reporting activities for multiple operating locationsManage and enhance shared services functions including general accounting, AP, AR, fixed assets, and close processesEnsure compliance with US GAAP and maintain strong internal controls across the organizationProvide technical accounting leadership, including experience with ASC 842 lease accounting, revenue recognition, and other complex accounting mattersOversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processesPartner closely with executive leadership on financial strategy, process improvements, and operational initiativesSupport external audit activities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirementsDrive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout accounting operationsMentor and develop accounting staff and leadership across multiple locationsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA, MBA, CMA, or other advanced certifications strongly preferred10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experienceExtensive shared services and multi-site accounting experience requiredStrong technical accounting knowledge including ASC 842 lease accountingExperience within mid to large-size organizations requiredAdvanced ERP system and Excel skills requiredExcellent communication and executive presentation skillsThis is a fully in-office opportunity with a highly respected organization that offers strong compensation, excellent benefits, and long-term career growth potential.For more information, apply today or let your Robert Half recruiter know you are interested in opportunity number 04340-0013406193.
