Welder/FabricatorWe are seeking a skilled welder with the ability to perform MIG welding on steel. Candidates must be proficient in stick, flux core, and MIG welding, and should have experience welding and fabricating various types of steel, including aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll. The role requires out-of-position welding, including overhead, vertical, and horizontal techniques, as well as the ability to read and work from blueprints.ResponsibilitiesPerform stick, flux core, and MIG welding on various types of steel.Fabricate and weld aluminum, hot roll, and cold roll steel.Execute out-of-position welding, including overhead, vertical, and horizontal.Read and interpret blueprints to ensure welding accuracy.Utilize tape measures, gauges, squares, and other measuring tools for precision.Essential SkillsProficiency in MIG and flux core welding.Experience in connecting and erecting structures.Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a custom weld shop is preferred.TIG welding experience is a major plus, though not required.Must have own tools, including a locking toolbox, cold chisel, scrapers, hammers, needle nose or TIG pliers, welding hood, file set, tape measure, and flashlight.Job Type & LocationThis is a contract position based out of Louisville, KY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
