Position: Project EngineerLocation: Hampton, Virginia6-month contract to hirePay Rate: $80,000-$115,000 yearlyLooking to HIRE RIGHT AWAY!!!Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Electrical Project Engineer to report to the Facility Engineering Team Leader. This role provides technical engineering support and project management to help production, maintenance, and administrative teams meet site business goalsResponsibilities:Manage electrical and controls scope for process improvements, capital projects, and equipment upgradesLead projects from concept through design, bidding, manufacturing, installation, startup, and closeoutSupport production and maintenance by troubleshooting equipment and improving system reliability and performanceProvide advanced support for PLC, HMI, robotics, and SCADA/database systemsMaintain accurate documentation of automation programs and system changesIdentify and implement improvements to automation systems and processesEnsure safety of equipment and processes, including adherence to EHS standardsOversee contractors to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirementsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in engineeringExperience with power distribution, PLCs, HMIs, and database systemsProject management experience in a team-based environment (cradle-to-grave)Nice to have:Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systemsPLC programming (Allen Bradley, ControlLogix, Modicon)Experience with Wonderware, SQL, and HMI/SCADA systemsKnowledge of NEC, NFPA, and electrical safety codesExperience with AutoCAD or Inventor5+ years of relevant electrical systems experience
