Payroll Associate (Effective 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR)

SUMMARY Performs all payroll functions from start to finish in an in-house environment. Compiles, reconcile, maintains, and provides payroll information. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Four years of recent experience in Payroll, Human Resources, or a related field. OR An Associate’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and ability to use spreadsheet, database, word processing, 10-key/Adding Machine proficiency. Knowledge and ability to use HRIS or Payroll accounting systems. Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources or related field Knowledge of government regulations as they relate to payroll accounting. Intermediate to Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel highly desired Professional HR or Payroll Certification (such as PHR, FPC, or CCP) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE FBI fingerprint background check Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization. Required to work an irregular work schedule and overtime. COMMENTS Effective: 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR Location: District Office - 1010 E Tenth St Classification: White Collar FTE: 1.0 - 8 hours per day Work Calendar: 12 month Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
