This role supports the development of the whole child by fostering creativity, cultural identity, and self-expression across K5 through 8th grade.Key ResponsibilitiesInstruction & Curriculum DevelopmentDevelop and implement standards-aligned lessons in visual arts, music, and cultural enrichmentIntegrate Latino and African American history, traditions, and contributions into instructionProvide hands-on learning experiences including art projects, music exploration, and cultural storytellingDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learnersStudent Engagement & Classroom EnvironmentCreate a positive, inclusive, and culturally responsive learning environmentFoster student creativity, confidence, and self-expressionEstablish and maintain effective classroom management practicesCollaboration & School IntegrationCollaborate with classroom teachers and staff to align enrichment programming with academic goalsParticipate in school-wide initiatives, events, and family engagement activitiesSupport and coordinate student performances, showcases, and cultural eventsProgram DevelopmentContribute to the development of a culturally rich enrichment programIntroduce students to influential artists, musicians, and cultural leadersSupport opportunities for student voice and leadership through the artsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Art, Music, Cultural Studies, or related field (preferred)Experience working with children in a school or community-based settingKnowledge of or experience with Latino and/or African American cultureStrong instructional and classroom management skillsAbility to engage students across multiple age groupsPreferred Qualifications:Bilingual (English/Spanish)Experience in performing arts, music, or visual arts instructionExperience in enrichment or after-school programmingEmployment DetailsStatus: Full-TimeSchedule: School-day hours with occasional evening or weekend eventsCompensation: Competitive; commensurate with experienceBenefits401(k) + matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceTuition reimbursementVision insuranceChildcare
