DescriptionPosition SummaryLourdes Academy Middle School has an opening for a 5th Grade Teacher beginning in August 2026. The school is committed to providing a traditional Catholic education in a faith-filled environment. Our mission is to ensure that students feel safe, valued, and loved while being formed in mind, body, and spirit.The teacher will partner with parents, colleagues, and administration to foster student learning and moral development in alignment with the Diocese of Green Bay Catholic Schools curriculum and the teachings of the Catholic Church.This position includes instruction in an enriched fifth-grade academic program, including Religion and all core subject areas, with the exception of Physical Education, Art, and Music.Key Responsibilities• Deliver high-quality instruction across all core subject areas, including Religion• Integrate Catholic faith, values, and Gospel teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture• Support the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of middle-grade learners• Create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes responsibility and independence• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs• Collaborate with grade-level and departmental colleagues to support student success• Participate in school and diocesan professional development and faith formation opportunities• Uphold and model Catholic Christian values in all interactions and instructionQualifications• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (minimum requirement)• Valid Wisconsin Teaching License or eligibility and active pursuit of licensure• Strong oral and written communication skills• Ability to establish positive, cooperative working relationships with students, families, and staff• Willingness to complete Diocese of Green Bay foundational catechetical certification• Commitment to providing a faith-filled Catholic education• Ability to support, affirm, and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church by word and example• Successful completion of required criminal background check upon employmentPreferred Attributes• Strong classroom management skills appropriate for upper elementary students• Ability to balance nurturing support with increasing student independence• Commitment to academic rigor and student accountability
