This will be a full-time opportunity for the Summer.Essential Job Functions:Organize and correct machine records in SAP.Create and maintain MRO part records, including proper classification and machine linkageAssist in organizing and cleaning up machine functional locationsDesign tooling and fixtures in CreoReverse engineer parts (bowl feeder plate for production machine)Create solid modelsCreate tolerance 2D drawingsProduct and component phase-out project in SAPAnalyze and filter data from SAP and other systemCheck status and engineering compatibility with current standardsReview and adjust drawing documentationConduct design validation testing for component developmentOrganize and schedule multiple testing effortsDesign test fixturesInterpret test resultsCompile test reports into DVPR formatAssist with Reverse-engineering and analysis of competitor productsTestingTeardownEndurance Analysis and estimationEducation, Training, Certifications:In progression of a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentExperience:2+ years into the BS Mechanical Engineering program at a universityJob Knowledge and Skills:High Level of communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.Problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong academic engineering knowledge especially in the areas of statics, dynamics and thermodynamics.Strong computer skills, specifically MS Office. CAD and technical software skills such as Creo are additional assets.Working Conditions:Normal office environment except for sporadic testing at extreme conditions, which requires exposure to -30 degrees Celsius and 80 degrees Fahrenheit for limited periods of time.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
