Mold Technician

Responsibilities JOB DESCRIPTION Performs and tracks all routine preventive maintenance on all production toolsRepairs molds as required by welding and machiningOversees all work and work orders for all moldsManages all SMED changes to production moldsOrganizes all inserts in cabinets, and maintain cabinetsOversees all mold changes and reportsResponsible for mold downtime and reportsDirects fellow team members in daily workloadWorks with tooling vendors on repairsMaintains a safe inventory stock on mold parts. Initiates purchase order for partsInspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirementsWorks daily with Quality department on defectsParticipates in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as requiredPerforms other related duties as assignedFollows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environmentRequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED3-5 years’ experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experienceAbility to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gaugesBasic understanding of systems, equipment and schematicsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skillsBasic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractionsAbility to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility and perform all assigned dutiesAbout UsDo you want to work with people who are dedicated to innovation and making the world a better place?
