Discuss with your recruiter for more details.Base pay range$30.00/hr - $34.00/hrPosition DetailsSourcing Agent – IMMEDIATE NEEDLocation: T/TTH West HoustonRequirements: Knowledge of NewStar is essential.Responsibilities:Identify and procure construction materials and services from vendors at competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines, managing supplier relationships and compliance within the residential home building industry.Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities in construction projects.Establish relationships with qualified suppliers for materials like lumber, appliances, windows, HVAC systems, etc.Conduct price negotiations to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality.Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with terms.Analyze market trends, cost fluctuations, and supplier performance to find savings opportunities.Monitor supplier quality to meet project specifications.Collaborate with project teams to forecast needs, manage inventory, and optimize delivery schedules.Track supplier performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.1-3 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably in residential home building; experience in other industries with strong negotiation skills is also acceptable.Analytical skills to assess costs and identify savings.Team player with high energy, dependability, and loyalty.Excellent communication skills for supplier relationship building.Proficiency in procurement software.Understanding of construction project management and building codes.Additional Information:Reports to the VP of Purchasing.Company is in growth mode.Position is fully in-office.Job Details:Seniority level: AssociateEmployment type: ContractJob function: General BusinessIndustry: Staffing and RecruitingReferrals can double your chances of interviewing at Professional Alternatives.
