This role will work cross-functionally with software, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-performance automotive electronic solutions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Design and develop embedded hardware systems including PCBs, microcontroller-based circuits, and power electronicsCreate and review schematics, layouts, and BOMs using industry tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence)Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and validation testingSupport ECU (Electronic Control Unit) hardware development and integrationCollaborate with embedded software engineers on hardware/software integrationConduct DFMEA, design reviews, and root cause analysisEnsure compliance with automotive standards (e.g., ISO 26262, EMC/EMI requirements)Interface with suppliers for component selection, prototyping, and validationSupport lab testing, debugging, and product validation activitiesParticipate in continuous improvement and cost optimization initiativesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field3–7+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, preferably in automotiveStrong knowledge of:Analog and digital circuit designMicrocontrollers (e.g., ARM, Infineon, NXP)PCB design and layout principlesExperience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers)Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C)Understanding of EMC/EMI design considerationsExperience with design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or similarPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with automotive ECUs or suspension/braking systemsKnowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262)Exposure to AUTOSAR environmentsExperience with high-voltage or power electronicsMaster’s degree in Electrical or Computer EngineeringKEY COMPETENCIES:Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentEffective communication and teamworkDetail-oriented with a focus on quality and reliabilityTRAVEL REQUIRED (%): >50% travel to meet customers and suppliers with day travel to the various manufacturing facilities as required.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.COMPUTER SKILLS:Ability to use and understand Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint, Microsoft (email). This is additional to the computer skill requirements as stated in the requirement qualifications.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to read and understand engineering prints/drawings. Good level of analytical skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to work on a team. Ability to guide the efforts of support personnel.
