In this critical role, you will monitor and control wind generation assets across North America, ensuring 24/7 safe, efficient, and reliable operations while maintaining compliance with industry standards and protocols.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Monitor and control wind generation facilities in real time under normal and emergency conditionsEvaluate system conditions, anticipate operational risks, and respond to incidents to ensure optimal system performanceDirect field technicians during system restorations or maintenance eventsAuthor and maintain electrical switching and operations proceduresRecord and report all operational data and system disturbances accuratelyEnsure full compliance with applicable NERC reliability standards and internal operating protocolsParticipate in ongoing training to maintain certifications and operational proficiencyOther responsibilities as assignedQualificationsRequired Skills and Competencies2-year or 4-year technical degree with 2 years of experience in utility or power plant operations preferredStrong understanding of electrical/mechanical theory, energy systems, and basic mathematical conceptsAbility to obtain PJM and NERC Certification within 12 monthsClear and confident communicator with excellent situational judgmentComfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based control room environmentFamiliarity with NERC Reliability Standards is a plusMust hold a valid driver’s licensePay & BenefitsBase Pay: $36–$45 per hour (equivalent to $74,880–$93,600 annually, based on experience)10% Annual Performance Bonus (based on company and individual performance)Certification Incentive Pay: Up to $5,400 annually for maintaining certificationsShift Pay Incentives:Night Shift Differential (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)On-call paySpecial Projects PayOT and Holiday Pay EligibilityDay 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your eligible dependents, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), HSA company contributions, and FSA optionsBenefits after 90 days: 401(k) with company match and immediate vesting, life insurance, disability coverage, and paid parental leave, and other optional plans15 days of PTO (with 1 additional day per year of service), 9 public holidays, and 2 flexible holidays$50 monthly wellness reimbursement for health, wellness, or fitness-related memberships and equipmentWorking ConditionsWork on a rotating shift basis, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.All operators receive full technical training, including NERC and PJM certificationsSystem Operation Center equipped with modern systems and tools for efficient operationsMonthly cell-phone stipendJob Location:55 E.
