Projects range from mission-critical facilities to large-scale commercial and institutional builds, and experience in highly technical or fast-paced environments is a strong plus.This role is more than project oversight - it's ownership. You will take projects from early strategy through closeout, drive financial performance, lead high-performing teams, and build lasting client partnerships. From mission-critical environments to large-scale commercial and institutional builds, you'll shape outcomes that matter.RESPONSIBILITIES:PROJECT MANAGEMENTWork with Field Supervision and Project Management to establish operation priorities and ensure safety and quality on every projectExceed client expectations through proactive engagement and problem-solvingEstimate, value engineer and develop project budgetsFacilitate the subcontractor bid process to include processing, distribution and tracking of all project bidding documentationAbility to utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute and track all project documentationNegotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontractsPlan and schedule projectsManage jobs in progress including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution and documentation.Manage project costs through the ongoing evaluation of labor, material and equipment; continue to forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures and profits through project completion.Lead project closeout with precision and accountabilityManage projects exceeding $20MLEADERSHIPBuild strong relationships and motivate teams through clear direction an collaborationMentor and develop junior project management staffCommunicate effectively with clients, partner, and internal teams, both written and verbalProvide training and guidance to cultivate future leaders.BUSINESS DEVELOPMENTInteract with clients and potential clients to identify and pursue potential workPrepare and participate in client presentations and project interviewsNegotiate and secure new businessPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:B.S. in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field6+ years of construction management experience across diverse marketsExperience in highly technical or fast-paced environments (data centers, mission-critical, industrial) is a strong plusA high level of communication and interpersonal skills is required.Exceptional leadership, communication and relationship building skillsPepper Construction is dedicated to offering our employees a comprehensive and best-in-class benefits package that prioritizes their physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
