Physical Therapy Assistant

Hempstead Park Nursing Home - PTA Duties Include:Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist.Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Physical Therapist.Implements and modifies the patient's occupational therapy plan of treatment with PT supervisionMonitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.Observe residents and write progress reports.The Physical Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.PTA requirements include:Must have an active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing in the state of NY.Long term care experience preferredAbility to manage patients with different types of personalitiesExcellent interpersonal communication skills
