We're not a corporate franchise — we're a hands-on, owner-led operation where decisions get made fast and great work gets noticed.We're hiring our first Director of Operations — a key leadership hire that will shape how this company grows.The RoleThis is the senior operational seat in the company—created as a direct result of rapid growth and the increasing complexity of the business. As the company continues to scale, the need for a dedicated leader to bring structure, discipline, and operational excellence to the next stage has become critical.You will own everything that makes the business run—field teams, routing, service quality, compliance, P&L performance, and the operating cadence that keeps the organization aligned and executing. This is not a maintenance role; it is a build-and-scale mandate. You will be expected to bring order to growth, implement systems, and establish the infrastructure required to support continued expansion.You will work directly with the owner and have real authority to build, fix, and improve. This includes evaluating current operations, identifying gaps, and putting in place scalable processes, reporting structures, and accountability systems that drive performance.If you've been a Branch Manager or Operations Manager at a national operator and feel constrained by corporate layers or limited in your ability to make a meaningful impact, this is a transition into a true leadership role—where your decisions shape the business, and your execution drives its next phase of growth.What You'll OwnDay-to-day field operations across all service lines and territoriesTeam leadership — hiring, developing, and holding a field team accountableRoute efficiency, scheduling, and technician utilizationCalifornia regulatory compliance and licensing integrityOperational P&L — labor, margins, and cost managementInternal meeting cadence and cross-team alignmentWhat We're Looking For5+ years managing field operations in pest control, home services, or a recurring field-services business (plumbing, HVAC, lawn care, restoration, or similar)Proven track record leading technician teams of 10 or more across multiple routes or locationsFinancially literate — you read and manage to a P&LExperience with routing, scheduling, and CRM platformsCalifornia-based or willing to relocate — on-site presence requiredFamiliarity with the California pest control regulatory environment a plusWhat's in It for You$150,000 – $165,000 base salary, depending on experiencePerformance bonus — 10–15% of base tied to operational KPIsCompany vehicle or monthly vehicle allowanceMedical Plan Participation15 days PTO + CA-mandated sick leaveDirect partnership with the owner — no corporate layers, no bureaucracyTo ApplySubmit your resume and a brief note on what you've built or improved operationally. In compliance with California SB 1162, the base salary range for this position is $150,000 – $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Total compensation at target, including performance bonus, ranges from $165,000 – $190,000 annually. Vehicle allowance and benefits are additional.
