Behavior Technician (RBT) Needed for the 26-27 School Year
Registered Behavior Technician | Near Athens, Georgia:Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting students in a dynamic high school environment for the remainder of the academic year. This full-time role offers the chance to work closely with both individual students and groups, alongside a collaborative team of dedicated professionals. The assignment runs from July 31st through May 21st, 2027, providing a meaningful way to make an impact in a school community near Athens, GA.**Qualifications & Experience:**- Active RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) certification required- Previous experience working with school-aged children or within educational settings preferred- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and support personnel- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards**Responsibilities:**- Deliver direct ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy and behavioral support to students in a middle school classroom- Provide 1:1 support to assigned students as well as small group interventions when needed- Document session activities and student progress with accuracy and attention to detail- Collaborate with classroom teachers, behavior analysts, and other support staff to implement behavior intervention plans- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to promote skill development and student engagement- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP-related discussions**Perks:**- Work in a supportive classroom with other knowledgeable staff- Opportunity to build relationships and see student growth throughout the school year- Gain hands-on experience in a school-based ABA setting
