Registered Respiratory Therapist

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) functions as a clinically competent practitioner providing respiratory care to patients with emergency, acute, and critical care needs. This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision while delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established clinical guidelines and organizational policies. The RRT also demonstrates leadership by supporting departmental goals, contributing to standards of care, mentoring new staff, and promoting continuous learning within the respiratory care team.Key Responsibilities Deliver respiratory therapy treatments and interventions for patients across emergency, acute, and intensive care settings Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient respiratory status and response to treatment Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment safely and effectively Respond to critical care situations and provide life-support measures as needed Adhere to clinical practice guidelines and organizational policies Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff and support staff development Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental objectives Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Participate in ongoing education to advance respiratory care knowledgeQualifications Associate’s degree in respiratory care (or equivalent program completion); Bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of two (2) years of respiratory care experience Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials through the NBRC Valid state license to practice respiratory care Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) or RRT-NPS certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 2 years Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteImportant Details: 13-week contract position Shift is 12 hrs/Nights (7 PM - 7 AM), 36 hrs/week Location is Philadelphia, PA 19104 Pay Range: $50 - $55 per hourCall to Action: Spots Are Filling Quickly — Apply Now!Company Description: “Pride Health offers eligible employee’s comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision plans), supplemental coverage (accident insurance, critical illness insurance and hospital indemnity), 401(k)-retirement savings, life & disability insurance, an employee assistance program, legal support, auto, home insurance, pet insurance, and employee discounts with preferred vendors”
