Job DetailsJob #: EE25063Job Title: Field Engineer - Drives and Control SystemsOffice Location: Roanoke, VA; NC, GA, TX, IN, FL PreferredBusiness Function/ Department: Industrial Systems/Field Engineering Production SystemsSales Territory: N/AGeneral Role DescriptionProvide Technical Advisory Services (TAS) to coordinate installation and commissioning activities for assigned projects while meeting project schedules and performance criteria.Role AccountabilitiesCommission AC and DC drive systems and/or control software to meet design performance criteriaPerform tune up of closed loop regulators to ensure optimal equipment performance and meet design parametersTroubleshoot and correct process application problems in complex control systemsDesign, configure, and test system software and hardware to meet contractual requirements when assignedGather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of workProvide regular, accurate, and considered commissioning status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situationLead respective process component of client witness system acceptance test when assignedRecommend changes to commissioning procedures to improve system performanceRecommend software or hardware improvements to engineering departmentMaintain current safety qualifications appropriate to the assigned tasks and adhere to both Company and client safety requirementsEnsure proper safety equipment is available and in good working condition, as assignedCoach associates in specific areas of technical expertise when identified by management as a function expertTrain client personnel on system maintenance procedures and/or system operation to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtimePlan and execute special projects up to 9 months in duration to support the department when assignedGeneral Employee AccountabilitiesBring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by managerGive earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specifiedCooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by managerExemplify Company Core Values: Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal CommitmentComply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and lawsRecommend viable improvements proactivelyEnsure effective utilization of business tools and processesRequirementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering with control automation coursework, mechatronics, computer engineering or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience2 years' experience with process and automation controls2 years' field engineering experience or 2 years' experience working in the metals, material handling, paper, or general industriesDemonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative and communication skillsDemonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contactsProficiency in MS Excel, Work and AccessAvailability to travel, domestically and internationally, more than 75% of the time, sometimes with limited noticePreferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience working with international clients and field service personnelDemonstrated experience in international field engineeringDemonstrated experience in the metals, material handling, paper, or general industriesProficiency in Oracle ERPProficiency in MS ProjectsLink to TMEIC Corporation website: https://www.tmeic.com/.
