Payroll Analyst

Title: Payroll AnalystLocation: Dallas, TexasDuration: (6-12 months)Compensation: $37.00 - 41.00 per hourWork Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S. Skillset / Experience:INSPYR Solutions is working with a client seeking a Payroll Analyst to work out of our headquarters in Dallas, TX.  Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Payroll, this role will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll, manages payroll records, and maintains compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position will analyze payroll data, resolve discrepancies, payroll taxes, system testing and accounting reconciliations. The company has businesses with leading positions in construction products, engineered structures, and transportation markets with annual revenues in excess of $2B.Responsibilities:Complete account reconciliations and monthly payroll journal entriesPrepare and review monthly multiple worksite reports required by statesCreate ad-hoc and routine payroll tax reportsMonitor and administer controls to ensure that tax information for all employees is set up correctly in the payroll systemPerform updates to payroll tax-related information and dataTax Filing experience with Mergers/Acquisitions and Multi-State Tax Filings.Address issues and questions regarding payroll tax from employees and managementAssist with payroll processing as neededAdditional duties as assigned by management. Perform updates to payroll tax-related information and dataAnalyze and verify payroll reports and documents for accuracy while making necessary corrections through UKG and KronosProcess payroll using UKG/Kronos for multiple companiesResearch and resolve payroll inquiriesProcess manual checks as neededRespond to any employee questions about deductions, calculations of paycheck, and changes in compensationKeep relevant personal information confidentialUse UKG to process accurate and timely payroll checksResponsible for making sure communication is clear for management and employees involvedResponsible for internal audit information for payrollTesting new payroll information for implementations and new codesAdditional duties as assigned by managementRequirements:Bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 5 years Payroll Tax Related Experience5+ years, Federal, multi-State, and local payroll tax experienceExperience with weekly, bi-weekly, hourly, and salaried payrolls, including pay and tax calculations.Knowledge of taxable and non-taxable payments and deductionsRequires Accounting experience in reconciliation and payroll knowledgeMust be familiar with multi-state tax regulations and tax reporting.Five plus years’ payroll and accounting experience requiredSelf-directed and detailed oriented individual with strong organizational skills requiredAnalytical and problem-solving skills requiredGood customer service skills and patienceSubstantial experience in automated/payroll systems required; experience with UKG preferredStrong MS Excel skills requiredStrong communication skills both written and verbal with all levels of organization Our benefits package includes:Comprehensive medical benefitsCompetitive pay401(k) retirement plan…and much more!About INSPYR Solutions Technology is our focus and quality is our commitment.
