This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Anesthesiologist to contribute to a high-impact, evolving program with a newly stabilized cardiac team. Position Highlights: Setting: Hospital-based (occasional ASC coverage if needed)Cardiac Surgeries: Avg. 1 per day (not daily); 90 open heart cases projected annuallyOther Cases: 5 7 general surgical cases/day (required when no cardiac cases)Operating Rooms: 8 ORs running concurrentlyEMR: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC) + some paper chartingStaff Model: Solo practice with CRNA students occasionally rotating in OR Candidate Requirements: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (Cardiac BC preferred)Active Iowa license or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)TEE Certified Must independently read, interpret & bill for TEE proceduresCardiac Fellowship Preferred or extensive cardiac experience with TEE competencyCertifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALSCOVID Vaccinated Required This is a prime locum opportunity to join a cardiac team on the rise with stable leadership and cutting-edge care in an environment that values your expertise.
