The expansion will also bring advanced diagnostic capabilities, including MRI and fluoroscopy, creating even more opportunity for collaboration, learning, and exceptional patient care.About This RoleThe Veterinary Diagnostic Technician plays an important role in supporting patient care across the hospital. This position works hands-on with laboratory diagnostics, radiology, CT, sample processing, and medical record documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced hospital environment, and committed to supporting both patients and clinical teams.Responsibilities include but are not limitedt to:Running in-house laboratory samples for triage, surgery, and hospitalized patientsProcessing samples for outside laboratory submissionAssisting with blood bank responsibilitiesRecording diagnostic results accurately in the patient medical recordHelping obtain samples by assisting veterinary technicians and clinical team membersSetting up and performing patient radiographsSubmitting radiographs online for interpretationPrinting radiology reports each morningEntering radiology reports into patient recordsRunning CT studies on patientsCleaning and stocking multiple diagnostic areas within the hospital Supporting patient flow and communication between diagnostic areas and clinical teamsQualificationsPrevious veterinary hospital experience preferredExperience with in-house laboratory equipment, radiology, or diagnostic workflows strongly preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentationComfort working with emergency, critical care, and specialty patientsAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical settingStrong communication and teamwork skillsA professional, compassionate, and patient-focused approachWillingness to learn and grow within a collaborative specialty and emergency hospital environmentSchedule And CompensationThis is a full time position.The schedule includes day and swing shifts, with weekend shifts and a holiday rotation.Pay Range: $20–$24/hour Compensation is based on experience, expertise, credentials, schedule, and overall alignment with the role.
