Fund Controller

A fast-growing Long/Short Hedge Fund is seeking a Hedge Fund Controller to join its collaborative and entrepreneurial team. This is a unique opportunity to work directly alongside an experienced and highly approachable CFO in a high-impact role with significant long-term growth potential.The ideal candidate will come from a Long/Short Hedge Fund or CFO outsourcing environment and thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting where wearing multiple hats is valued.Responsibilities:Oversee fund accounting, management company accounting, and operational responsibilitiesReview month-end NAV packages from fund administratorsReconcile trades with prime brokers dailyHandle investor allocations and performance calculationsProduce analytics and reporting materials for internal and external stakeholdersManage relationships with external vendors including prime brokers and fund administratorsAssist across operations and accounting functions as needed in a lean team environmentRequirements:8–10 years of fund accounting experience within a buy-side hedge fund or CFO outsourcing firmStrong Long/Short Hedge Fund experience requiredDeep knowledge of swaps, boxing, wash sales, straddles, and safe harbor tax rulesCPA or CFA requiredAdvanced Excel skills including pivot tables, allocations, and performance reportingEnfusion experience preferredStrong communication skills, high integrity, and willingness to operate in a hands-on environmentBachelor’s degree required
