Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Hermiston, OR Agency: Slate Healthcare Pay: $2,268 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/24/2026 About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Slate Healthcare to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Hermiston, Oregon, 97838!Definition of direct and indirect patient care for patients in the Treatment Center. Communicates with Physicians/Nurse Manager/Co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Can respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. They are responsible for initiating the computerized Plan of Care/Standard of Care on admission and carrying out that plan.Essential Job Functions: Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure. Incorporate guest relations in daily activities. Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated. Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum). Performs other related duties as assigned.: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Evidence of continuing education is appropriate for skill level and area of practice.Preferred: BSN.Licenses/ certifications/ registrationsRequired: Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS.Preferred: Certifications specific to areas of clinical specialty preferred or obtained within 2 years of hire. - IV certification(s)/Wound Care/etc. CRASE training. If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required.ExperienceRequired: None required.Preferred: Previous Clinical Experience.Other: Infusion pumps and other medical equipment, computer, printer, photocopier, and patient charts. Ability to provide care for the patient's age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial well-being. Knowledge of sterile technique and assistance of physician in procedure. Ability to work with culturally diverse population. There may also be occasional lifting or transferring of individuals weighing over 100 pounds, with the expectation that appropriate lifting techniques, mechanical aids, or team assistance will be used to ensure safety. May to sit for long periods of time.Working position is performed primarily in an indoor healthcare environment, such as a hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility. While the work setting is protected from outdoor weather conditions, it may be subject to variable indoor temperatures.
