Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of various ocular conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team. The Licensed Optometrist will also engage in patient education regarding eye health and vision correction options. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect ocular diseases. Diagnose and manage various eye conditions, including but not limited to refractive errors, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Provide appropriate treatment options, including prescribing glasses, contact lenses, and medications as necessary. Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular eye exams. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Assist with optical sales by recommending suitable eyewear based on patient needs. Requirements Valid state license to practice optometry. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and anatomy. Experience or knowledge in pediatrics, ophthalmology, optical sales, and physiology is preferred. Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
