Signicast doesn't just invest in you— we help you invest in a future!NDT Technician Level 1 performs assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices, and techniques for X-ray, FPI, and MPI inspection. Approximately 80% of the time is spent setting up and performing NDT operations, 20% maintaining records and equipment.Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:Record testing and inspection information on the required inspection sheets/switchboardEnsure conforming quality castings by conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) using, but not limited to, the following methods: X-ray, magnetic particle inspection (MPI), fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and visual testing.Interpret procedural and standard practice requirements, related to customer-specific requirements, for NDT and pass or reject castings accordinglyProduce accurate, timely inspection reportsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, as neededParticipate in a training program that includes classroom and hands-on trainingUpon completion of the training program, the incumbent must pass the certification exam, including written exams and a hands-on demonstration of testing method proficiencyConduct professional interactions with manufacturing team members, and customers or their designated 3rd party representatives.Maintain a safe and productive work environment, as well as a high standard of qualityRequires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience.Benefits: Our total rewards program offers world class benefits for this full-time position:Medical insurance-PPO & HDHP HSA within 61 days of your start dateDental & vision insuranceWellness programLife insuranceShort-term & long term disabilityPaid vacations plus 10 paid holidaysQuarterly performance bonus401k matching up to 5.5%Tuition reimbursementOn-site fitness center (Hartford & Brown Deer only)On-site chiropractor (Hartford only)Signicast offers a breadth of opportunities from career development planning to help our employees grow into their next position through individualized planning and training to in-depth leadership development for our next generation of leaders.
