We offer a diverse range of equipment from leading manufacturers, serving the needs of everyone from large commercial construction firms to local subcontractors and general contractors.The Turn Technician prepares and maintains all outgoing and incoming equipment for new and completed rentals. This position is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the yard and keeping the rental equipment organized to minimize customer wait time.Essential FunctionsPerform routine maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of equipment or systems.Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or software issues and provide effective solutions.Install and configure new systems, equipment, or devices as needed.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service logs and inventory management.Assist in the setup, calibration, and testing of equipment or systems.Provide technical support to staff or customers and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Repair faulty components, wiring, and parts of machinery or devices as necessary.Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDGood organizational and communication skillsCustomer service orientedValid state-issued Driver's LicenseAbility to work with minimal supervision; self-motivatedMilitary service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.Work EnvironmentWork is primarily conducted in construction sites, equipment yards, and transportation routesRegular exposure to heavy machinery and diesel-powered equipment in operationFrequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and windPhysically demanding environment with uneven terrain, dust, mud, and loud noise levelsDuties may involve both shop-based tasks and fieldwork including travel to remote job sitesStrict adherence to safety protocols required at all timesPersonal protective equipment such as steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection may be requiredMust be comfortable operating around large equipment, in confined spaces, or working from elevated positionsLifting heavy components and materials is often requiredFlexibility and adaptability are essential as job site conditions and priorities can change rapidlyTravel RequiredMay require traveling for training classes or seminarsMay require driving to various vendors to acquire parts for assigned repairsPhysical DemandsRequires a high level of physical stamina and mobility to perform duties in jobsite and yard environmentsFrequent lifting, carrying, and maneuvering of tools, chains, tarps, and equipment weighing 50+ poundsRegular bending, squatting, kneeling, crouching, and reachingProlonged standing, walking, and working on uneven terrain such as gravel, dirt, or pavementClimbing in and out of trucks, onto trailers, or onto equipment is requiredMust maintain balance while working from steps, ladders, or elevated platformsFine motor skills and dexterity required for handling controls, tie-downs, and documentationMust safely operate commercial vehicles and remain alert in potentially hazardous yard or driving conditionsOccasional pushing, pulling, and positioning of heavy materials or componentsOur Benefits & PerksWe want our team members to feel supported, valued, and set up for long-term success.
