Test Kitchen Assistant

Role OverviewFood52 is looking for a highly organized and enthusiastic Test Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary production and content team. This role sits at the center of our kitchen operations—ensuring shoots run smoothly, ingredients are ready, and the kitchen stays organized and functional.The ideal candidate is passionate about food media, comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment, and excited to occasionally step in front of the camera.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with recipe prep and ingredient preparation for video shoots and editorial projectsMaintain cleanliness and organization of the test kitchen, including dishwashing and equipment upkeepShop for ingredients and supplies, including grocery runs and specialty sourcingPrepare ingredients and equipment for video shoots and content productionMaintain and organize kitchen equipment, tools, and pantry inventoryAssist culinary talent during shoots and demonstrationsHelp with setup for recurring series such as Come and Get ItOccasionally appear on camera in supporting roles when neededQualifications1–3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, test kitchen, or food media environmentStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced production environmentAbility to multitask across kitchen prep and production needsPassion for food, cooking, and storytellingNice to HaveCulinary school training or professional kitchen experienceOn-camera comfort or food styling experienceFamiliarity with food media or recipe testing workflowsScheduleHybrid schedule of 3-4 days per week in our office in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, but subject to change on a week to week basis depending on the needs of the business.Salary Range$55,000 - 57,000The range provided is based on what we reasonably expect to pay for this job as of the time of posting.
