Regional Sales Manager

This position description identifies the major responsibilities of this job. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for selling Pattyn Bakery division packaging machinery and complete turnkey type packaging lines. Reports directly to the Bakery Sr. Sales Manager. Planning and development of specific target markets and groups, and the actual sales "package" will be developed as a team program in conjunction with the Bakery Sr. Sales Manager. Responsible for contributing to the development and execution of the annual marketing business plan which will include equipment sales goals and timetables. Achieve Sales budget in corporation with the Bakery Sr. Sales Manager. Grow sales territories and sales channels. Maintain good relationship and support all preferred integrators / distributors related to Pattyn North America. Support continuous training of preferred integrators / distributors related to Pattyn North America. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESVisit establishments to evaluate needs or to promote product or service salesPrepare and submit sales contracts for ordersAnswer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, or termsQuote prices, terms or other bid specificationsContact new or existing customers to discuss how specific products or services can meet their needsEmphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitationsEstablish technical details and product descriptions to prepare sales presentationsSelect or assist customers in selecting products based on customer needs, product specifications, and applicable regulationsPrepare sales presentations or proposals to explain product specifications or applicationsComplete expense reports, sales reports and other paperworkIdentify prospective customers using business directories, leads from existing clients or tradeshowsInform customers of estimated delivery schedules, service contracts, warranties, or other information pertaining to purchased productsCollaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as strategy or marking informationProvide customers with ongoing supportPromote service contracts and after sales offersProvide feedback to engineering and R&D teams so that products can be tailored to the clients' needsArrange for testing of product and or machineryInitiate sales campaigns to meet sales and production expectationsObtain building blueprints/layouts or specifications for use by engineering departments in bid preparationsConsult with engineers regarding technical complications or designSupport set-up of various trade shows and exhibits. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 5 years of related capital equipment or industrial equipment sales experience, with proven year-over-year sales growth.Strong background in B2B sales, business development, and industrial equipment selling; bakery industry or industrial automation knowledge is highly preferred.Formal sales training (e.g., consultative selling techniques) and a BA/BS degree or equivalent related experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with familiarity using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.Ability to read and work with 2D CAD/AutoCAD design drawings and blueprints.Technical aptitude with a solid understanding of machinery and ability to develop creative, "outside the box" customer solutions.Self-starter who is structured, organized, and self-motivated, with strong verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, focus on customer needs, and solve problems effectively.Comfortable making autonomous decisions about time management, call activities, and customer engagement while collaborating with the Bakery Sales Manager as needed.Able to travel 30-40% of the time domestically and internationally; must have a valid passport and be able to travel to Canada and overseas. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk or hear; uses hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. On occasion, may be required to climb and work in high places, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The incumbent must occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
