We rely on our talented and dedicated team members to provide reliable products with personalized service.We're hiring a Sales Representative - L&M to join County Materials Corp. in Appleton, WI.Job Summary:The Sales Representative serves as a trusted brand ambassador and technical sales expert, building strong relationships with architects, contractors, dealers, designers, masons, and project owners to promote and sell the company's hardscape, landscape, and concrete masonry products. This field-based sales role is responsible for territory growth, consultative selling, product specification support, jobsite visits, and business development.This position plays a critical role in expanding market presence by combining relationship management, technical expertise, and strategic prospecting to drive revenue and long-term customer partnerships.Job Duties & Responsibilities:Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with existing customers to increase sales and territory revenueIdentify, prospect, and onboard new customers, accurately documenting activity in the CRM systemCollaborate with architects, contractors, designers, dealers, masons, and project stakeholders to develop product specifications and sales strategiesSupport customers with material selection, estimating, and order placement to ensure project successConduct jobsite visits to provide technical guidance, layout assistance, and product recommendationsDeliver consultative sales support, including project planning and problem-solvingAnalyze market trends and competitive activity to develop actionable strategies for growthPrepare and present sales pipeline, project updates, and prospecting reports for monthly business reviewsDevelop and deliver lunch-and-learn presentations and product training sessions for current and prospective customersCoordinate closely with production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure accurate orders, scheduling, and on-time deliveryRepresent the company at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and networking functionsSupport local, regional, and national promotional initiatives to drive brand awarenessPerform additional duties as assignedCOUNTY Core Competencies: The expected behaviors of all COUNTY team members that align with Our Values and Our Commitments:Integrity & Organizational Awareness (L3)Customer First Focus (L3)Results Driven Orientation (L3)Teamwork, Safety & Collaboration (L2)Problem Solving & Decision Making (L3)Creativity & Innovation (L2)Job-Based Competencies:Business and Industry Analysis (L3)Product Analysis (L2)Overarching Sales Delivery (L3)Demand Generation (L2)Developing Leads into Sales & Growing Accounts (L2)Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experienceMinimum of 3 years of sales experience managing multimillion dollar territories, preferably in construction materials, building products, hardscape, landscape, or masonryExperience with landscape, masonry, and hardscape product lines; familiarity working with architects, designers, contractors, and design professionals preferredStrong working knowledge of ASTM specifications and industry standards related to concrete and masonry productsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience using CRM and ERP systemsDemonstrated ability to deliver effective training sessions, presentations, and lunch and learn programsExceptional time management and territory planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projectsStrong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate market conditions, identify opportunities, and develop action plansProven decision making and problem-solving abilities in fast paced, customer focused environmentsHighly collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across sales, operations, production, logistics, and customer service teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearlyStrong mathematical and estimating skills related to materials, quantities, and pricingAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a field based sales roleValid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to travel regularly within assigned territoryWork Environment:Work in an office environment as well as construction sites in various weather.Exposure may include noise, weather, machinery, public interaction, etc.Travel required: typically regional, within state of assigned territory.Typical work schedule: Day shift, Monday-Friday with occasional after hours spent on customer functions and relationship building along with some overnight stays for industry events and/or trade shows.Physical & Work Expectations:An individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
