We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to maintain equipment and facilities. You will perform various maintenance tasks such as day-to-day mechanical repair and preventative upkeep of all production equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. Position requires knowledge of shop machinery, electrical skills including reading electrical schematics, safety procedures and company policies. The position also requires maintaining a good work ethic and environment built on teamwork, continuous improvement, safety, communication, customer service/satisfaction and organization.What You Can Expect In This Role (Job Responsibilities)Performance will be measured in several critical areas including:Safety – foster an environment of safe practices Culture – embrace an organization that strives for belonging, creates a clear sense of purpose, and expects transparent and respectful communicationsThroughput – drive efficient use of resources to increase sales at minimal additional costDelivery – ensure predictable delivery of product improvements and new product development in line with agreed upon delivery datesQuality – guarantee consistent work product quality focused market ready product launchesCost – ensure effective cost management, in line with organizational objectivesComplete high-quality day-to-day basic mechanical and preventative upkeep of all production machinery and building maintenance in accordance with safety codes and manufacturer’s instructions.Initiate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance processes to support manufacturing goals.Develop and execute plan of action for emergency equipment repairAssist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessaryMaintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionalityInspect various mechanical systems and schedule repairs when neededTroubleshoot equipment controls, including relays, contactors, motor starters, PLC’s, switches, heaters, thermocouplesProvides recommendations regarding installation and repair of equipmentDocument Maintenance procedures for each piece of shop machinery. A check list of these procedures must be kept on file for any inspections from OSHAMaintain daily checklists for forklifts and cranes. Checklists must be kept in accordance with OSHA regulations.Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines.Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and serviceMust possess demonstrated ability to utilize shop equipment to complete repairsConduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. snow shoveling) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.) for the facilityMaintains safe and health work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with company policies, keeping area clean and organizedOther duties or projects as assignedWhat we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:Required Experience 3-4 years of relevant experienceHVAC equipment service experience preferred:Fin pressDie pressPunch pressHydraulic pressExperience with Manufacturing sites and building safety standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem solving abilitiesPreferred Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesEmotional Intelligence & Sense of Urgency – High levels of self-awareness and an ability to recognize needs and concerns of others.
