In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in building and assembling aerospace components and subassemblies to precise engineering standards. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, precision instruments, and shop equipment in a structured, safety-focused environment. LOCATION: Everett, WA SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday PAY: $24 - $25 BENEFITS OFFERED: Paid Weekly, Direct Deposit, Affordable Health Care, Full-Time, Career Advancement Opportunities Key Responsibilities - Mount and install parts, units, and equipment in accordance with blueprints and engineering specifications using both hand tools and power tools. - Secure and support components and subassemblies in place using fasteners such as bolts, screws, rivets, brackets, hinges, and clips. - Use jigs, templates, and precision measuring instruments to locate and mark reference points and holes needed for part and component installation. - Align and position subassemblies within jigs or fixtures by following blueprint reference lines and index points. - Cut, trim, and file parts as necessary to confirm that fitting tolerances are met before installation. - Install bushings using liquid nitrogen or presses as the task requires, and apply sealants or coatings in accordance with specifications while using appropriate safety devices. - Use shop equipment including squeeze riveters, arbor presses, and related hand tools to carry out assembly operations. - Inspect completed workpieces to verify fit, function, and compliance with engineering specifications, using standard measuring tools and test equipment. - Interpret and apply manufacturing drawings at an intermediate level, working independently to produce parts that conform to engineering requirements. - Recognize production-related issues, report them to the team lead, and offer suggestions for corrective action or process improvement. - Adhere to all workplace safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, and keep the work area clean and organized in compliance with 5S standards. - Carry out additional tasks as needed to support overall team and production goals. Qualifications - At least one year of hands-on assembly experience within the aerospace industry. - Proficiency in basic shop mathematics. - Ability to read, understand, and apply work instructions and manufacturing drawings. - High school diploma or GED equivalent required. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow both written and verbal directions accurately. - Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Mechanical aptitude with good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. - Dependable, punctual, and consistent in attendance and reliability. - Positive, professional approach to work with a commitment to continuous improvement.
