EP Tech / EP Lab Tech Location: Richmond, VA Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $2,720 to $2,880 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $68.00 - $72.00/Hourly. Summary: An Electrophysiology Technician assists cardiologists and electrophysiologists in diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. They support procedures such as cardiac ablations, pacemaker, and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) insertions by operating specialized equipment and ensuring patient safety throughout the procedure. Responsibilities: Prepare patients and equipment for electrophysiology (EP) procedures. Assist physicians during EP studies, catheter ablations, and device implantations. Operate and monitor EP recording systems and imaging equipment. Record intracardiac signals and interpret basic cardiac rhythms. Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols. Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies during procedures. Perform equipment setup, calibration, and troubleshooting.
