GIS / Spatial ETL EngineerLocation: Tampa, FL (Hybrid)Duration: Long-Term ContractWork Authorization: U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders onlyIndustry: Telecommunications / Network InfrastructureAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled GIS / Spatial ETL Engineer to support a Fortune 50 telecommunications client in advancing large-scale network planning and infrastructure deployment initiatives. This role is ideal for a geospatial data engineering professional with deep expertise in FME, ArcGIS, Oracle Spatial, and Python automation who thrives in complex enterprise environments.You will play a critical role in designing and optimizing geospatial ETL pipelines, spatial databases, and GIS applications that support telecom network expansion, fiber deployments, and outside plant infrastructure programs. The ideal candidate combines strong spatial engineering capabilities with hands-on experience supporting enterprise GIS ecosystems in telecom, utilities, or infrastructure domains.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale spatial ETL workflows using FME, Python, and ArcPyBuild and automate geospatial data transformation pipelines supporting telecom network planning and build operationsDevelop and optimize Oracle Spatial databases and write advanced PL/SQL procedures for spatial data processingCreate and maintain GIS applications, services, and data models within the ArcGIS ecosystem (ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and Server)Ensure high standards for data integrity, spatial accuracy, scalability, and performanceSupport geospatial workflows related to fiber networks, outside plant (OSP), infrastructure assets, and network lifecycle managementCollaborate with engineering, planning, operations, and GIS teams to deliver end-to-end spatial data solutionsTroubleshoot ETL workflows, spatial data inconsistencies, and system integration challengesContribute to architecture decisions and best practices for enterprise geospatial data managementRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in GIS / Geospatial Data Engineering3+ years of hands-on experience developing FME-based spatial ETL workflowsStrong expertise with:FME (Safe Software)ArcPyArcGIS Pro / Enterprise / ServerOracle SpatialPL/SQLPython scripting and automationExperience building and supporting enterprise GIS data pipelines and spatial data modelsStrong understanding of geospatial data structures, coordinate systems, topology, and spatial analysisExperience optimizing ETL workflows for scalability and performanceAbility to work in a hybrid environment in Tampa, FLPreferred QualificationsTelecommunications industry experience supporting:Fiber network deploymentsOutside Plant (OSP)Network planning and build operationsExperience in utilities, transportation, municipal infrastructure, or other infrastructure-heavy GIS environmentsFamiliarity with enterprise GIS integrations and spatial data governanceExperience working in Agile or enterprise-scale delivery environmentsPreferred CertificationsSafe Software FME Certified ProfessionalEsri Technical Certification (Developer or Enterprise Administration)GISP (GIS Professional)EducationBachelor’s degree in one of the following or related disciplines:GIS / Geographic Information SystemsGeographyGeomaticsComputer ScienceEngineeringInformation SystemsTechnologies & ToolsFME (Feature Manipulation Engine)ArcGIS Pro / Enterprise / ServerArcPyPythonOracle SpatialPL/SQLETL / Data IntegrationSpatial Data EngineeringGIS AutomationTelecom Network GISWhat Makes This Opportunity UniqueDirect engagement with a Fortune 50 telecommunications enterpriseHigh-impact work supporting large-scale fiber and infrastructure deployment initiativesOpportunity to work on enterprise geospatial architecture and automationExposure to cutting-edge telecom GIS and spatial engineering environmentsCollaborative hybrid work model in Tampa, FLBenefitsCompetitive W2 compensationHealth, dental, and vision insurance optionsLong-term project stabilityEnterprise-level technical environment and growth opportunity
