Electrical Assembler II - Project BasedThis is a project-based employee role supporting the initial development phase of our autonomous vehicle platforms. Development phases of this nature typically span up to project completion (typically 24 years), though scope and duration are driven by business needs.Job SummaryThe Electrical Assembler II builds and integrates electrical harness assemblies used in ASI's autonomous vehicle platforms. This role focuses on constructing full harness assemblies using pegboards and engineering schematics while ensuring compliance with assembly and quality standards.As a Level II assembler, this role independently assembles harnesses with multiple connectors, performs more advanced soldering and crimping operations, and supports prototype vehicle builds. The position collaborates closely with engineers and technicians to ensure harness builds meet design intent and production quality expectations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesBuild electrical harnesses using pegboards and harness assembly drawingsPerform crimping operations for multiple connector types and wire gaugesPerform soldering tasks including splices and connector terminationsAssemble harnesses containing multiple leads and connectorsInterpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematicsPerform continuity checks and electrical verification of harness assembliesIdentify issues or discrepancies in harness documentation and notify engineering teamsSupport prototype vehicle harness installation and testingMaintain quality standards and documentation for harness buildsEssential Education, Work Experience, Job Skills25 years of experience building wiring harnesses or electrical assembliesExperience working from electrical schematics or harness drawingsStrong understanding of crimping tools and connector termination processesExperience assembling pegboard harnessesAbility to perform soldering operations including splices and backfill techniquesStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipPreferred QualificationsIPC/WHMA-A-620 certification or similar harness assembly trainingExperience assembling harnesses for robotics, vehicles, or industrial systemsBenefitsASI offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:401k with employer matchGenerous HSA contributionPTO, Paid Holidays, and FlextimeASI covers 90% of employee medical plan costsEeo StatementAt Autonomous Solutions, Inc.
